Letter writing to US Senators!
Students wrote letters to their US Senators, urging support of H. Con. Res. 344: Recognizing the disproportionate impact of the global food crisis on children in the developing world.
We had a HUGE turnout at our first meeting and luckily have had some great students join our cause.
Photos of bednet distribution in Kampala, Uganda in January of 2008. These bednets were donated by members of the Swarthmore College community during our October 2007 Malaria Awareness Week.
The photos are of mothers of children with malaria documented by Mark Dlugash During his 2007 to Uganda. The mothers and children are residents of the Acholi Quarter.
