Recurring toe nail fungus?

Hi,
My wife had 4 nail removal surgeries for her toe is there any permanent solution to toe nail fungus. Please give me your valuable suggestions.

I am a medical doctor and judging from your presenting symptoms, it looked like it is nail fungus.
