    After the root canal treatment and capping has been done, I want the proper information to protect my teeth. Any recommendations, hints, or tips would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!!!

    I once had my tooth go through the same ordeal as yours. I had to have a root canal and capping. I went for the root canal, as you know, they have different stages of treatment. I felt as if the tooth would do just fine after the first round, that was one mistake I did.
    So ;
    Go through the whole process if you just started it recently.
    After the process, avoid sensitives, the hot or cold water, sugar, salt and such.
    Also avoid straining the tooth, chewing hard foods and such, the tooth may be dead but the gum is alive.
    Always have regular check ups with your dentist.
    Always brush your teeth after every meal, this removes any particles that linger and destroy the tooth, remember it had been opened during root canal.
    If you feel pain persistent after a week, you should go back to the dentist. Those chemicals and stuffing they put in there could be irritating your gum.

    Get well soon, ashley12.

    Sleep with your head in an elevated position for the first few nights if you do not have any physical limitations.
