Swarthmore College’s Global Health Forum Presents its 3rd Annual Minus Malaria Variety Show
WHEN: Saturday, November 6th at 8pm
WHERE: Swarthmore College, Lang Performing Arts Center, Swarthmore, PA
WHAT:
- This event is part of the Global Health Forum’s (GHF’s) Minus Malaria Initiative (MMI), which aims to educate people about malaria, act to eliminate the burden of malaria, and advocate for more action against malaria.
- The show will feature student performance groups that will offer a variety of entertainment, including a capella, dance, instrumental music, and comedy.
- A suggested $5 donation for admittance to the show will purchase an insecticide-treated bed-net to fight malaria in the Kbangba Kabonde chiefdom of Sierra Leone. Bednets are the most cost-effective method of preventing malaria infection. Last year your donations helped achieve complete coverage of the Malen chiefdom in Sierra Leone. For every bed-net purchased, GHF will send a letter to Congress in support of select global health legislation on behalf of our donors.
We invite all members of surrounding communities to come enjoy live entertainment, support our student performers, learn about malaria, and help us to address a serious global issue.
